Item Creation Procedures and
Quality Assurance Protocols
The creation of high quality and consistent
items is fundamental to the successful delivery of valid,
robust and meaningful assessment vehicles that achieve
the learning and evaluation objectives of our clients.
Knowledge maintenance and assessment are also taken
very seriously by the FSA and is a core element of the
Training and Competence Sourcebook requirements. As
such, approved persons with responsibility for maintaining
the competence of key staff need to be confident that
where assessment production is outsourced, this is completed
to the very highest standard. By using an outsourcer,
approved persons also need to have some comfort that
outsourcer has appropriate systems and controls in place
to ensure the quality and standard of assessments produced.
FSTC takes its responsibilities for
the production of assessments extremely seriously, having
rigorous competency requirements for all item writers
employed, thorough procedures in place for the creation
of items, and a robust quality assurance program controlling
the quality of our assessment outputs. |
