The Financial Services Authority expects staff at all levels and functions to demonstrate the necessary skills for their role in order to perform effectively.
The Certificate in Financial Administration is aimed at those involved in life and pensions administration within both a product provider and intermediary environment.
It provides staff with the knowledge they need to perform effectively. It not only improves the efficiency and flexibility of staff, but also enhances their individual career prospects.
The qualification satisfies the FSA’s regulatory requirements for life and pensions “overseers”.
It has been accredited by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) as a Level 3 qualification.
The certificate has two units that both need to be passed by examination:
- CF1 – UK financial services regulation and ethics
and
- FA1 - Life office administration or: FA2 - Pensions Administration
As part of the CII’s credit based system, the Certificate in Financial Administration is worth 25 credits.
By completing the Certificate in Financial Administration, candidates can use it as a springboard for completing further qualifications. For example, CF1 is the first of five units required to complete the Certificate in Financial Planning which develops knowledge and understanding of the financial advice sectors and meets the regulatory needs for financial advisers.
FSTC provides face to face revision courses for all units within this qualification. In addition to our standard courses, we are more than happy to tailor our training to meet your specific needs. |
